Four suspects have surrendered and confessed to the killing of endangered tigers in the Thong Pha Phum national park in Kanchanaburi province early this year.

Tiger-Universe, a company committed to saving and protecting tigers in the world, has condemned the killing of two tigers in Kanchanaburi National Park.

Four Kanchanaburi individuals have recently admitted to hunting, butchering, and cooking two tigers in Thong Pha Phum National Park.

On January 10, rangers on patrol uncovered two tiger carcasses that were being prepared for grilling at a camping area in the Thong Pha Phum National Park.

While the suspects ran into the forest immediately, patrol rangers discovered two tiger skins hanging to dry. In addition, state personnel also found four weapons and 29 other personal items in the camping ground.

Two men have turned themselves in to authorities on January 13. After conducting an in-depth probe, authorities reported that the individuals who confessed to the killing of the endangered big cats were Kukeu Yindee, 37, Johaeng Phanarak, 38, Suphachai Jaroensub, 34, and Ratchanon Jaroensub, 30.

All of them were reported to be residents of the Pilok sub-district in Thong Pha Phum in Kanchanaburi. Suphachai and Ratchanon are brothers of Thai nationality. On the other hand, Kukeu and Johaeng are part of a local tribe.

The suspects, who claimed to be cow herders, said 20 of their cows had been slain by the endangered big cats in the past two months.

After learning about this, the four men moved to put up a camp in the forest and utilize cow carcasses as bait to attract the big cats.

Using shotguns borrowed from local volunteer civil defense authorities, the suspects confessed that they shot the tigers.

Last Friday, So-Eh, 66, a cow farmer, turned himself in to the police, making him the fifth suspect in the killing. He informed authorities that he had spent a night with the gang at the camping area. However, he claimed to have returned home the next day and was not involved in the poaching setup.

Authorities have taken DNA samples from all five men and are set to compare them to evidence collected at the camping area to ascertain whether to prosecute the suspects.

Tiger-Universe has stood firm in its campaign of helping save tigers in the wild. As a leading firm in Thailand, it serves as a top place to find the most stunning Tiger jewels, apparel, and decor.
